Our new Greek winger has already fit a lot into his career, despite only being the age of 24, but how much do you know about him? Get the lowdown here! 

BACK WHERE IT BEGAN

Tzolis was born in Thessaloniki in January 2002 and began his youth career at Doxa Pentalofou, before going on to represent PAOK, SG Rosenhohe Offenbach, SV Alemannia Konigstadten and then PAOK again at youth level.

He made the breakthrough to the senior side at PAOK in 2019, who he would go on to make 42 league appearances for and win the 2020/21 Greek Cup with (in which he was the top scorer). He also became Player of the Season before signing for Norwich City in 2021.

CANARIES COME CALLING

Tzolis had an impressive debut for the Canaries, scoring twice and getting two assists in a 6-0 win over Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup at Carrow Road.

That was his first move to England to play in the Premier League. Following the 2021/22 campaign, he was sent on loan to Twente in the Eredivisie, before going to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga on loan in 2023/24.

It was an amazing season as he scored 22 goals in 30 league matches, finishing as one of the league’s joint top scorers.

BRILLIANT AT BRUGGE

A permanent move away to Club Brugge then came in 2024, and it’s there that he’s had his most productive spell in his career, scoring 33 goals in 74 Belgian Pro League matches. 

He helped them to the 2024/25 Belgian Cup and, in 2025/26, scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists in all competitions to become the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season, contributing a goal or assist in every game over a 14-match run, going onto win the Belgian Pro League. 

He also won the 2025 Belgian Super Cup and scored the Belgian Pro League Goal of the Year for 2025.

In fact, in 2025/26, he registered an incredible 50 goal contributions in 50 games - one more than Kylian Mbappe and Luis Diaz - and just three behind Michael Olise, with Harry Kane at the top of the leaderboard.

FLYING THE FLAG

At international level, Tzolis has represented Greece from the under-17s setup through to under-21s, and made his senior debut in 2020, when he became the seventh youngest player in the history of Greece’s national team. 

He has since scored nine goals in 34 games for the country.
