The best chance of a goalless opening 45 minutes came just three minutes into the game when Evan Mooney's dangerous low cross evaded three of his teammates in the penalty area. 

Both sides made wholesale changes for the second half, and it was the hosts' changed side that got the first goal of the game, Marley Marshall-Miranda finding the bottom corner from just inside the penalty area. 

But we hit back with just five minutes to go when Bowen Phillips fired into the top corner from Marley Frohock's cutback. 

FIRST HALF

We created the first chance of the game after a neat one-two between Evan Mooney and Andre Harriman-Annous, but Mooney's low cross evaded three red shirts in the penalty area. 

Our pressure continued to tell throughout the opening 15 minutes, and we once again came close to taking the lead when Demiane Agustien placed a free-kick narrowly wide. 

Boreham Wood had their first opportunity just before the 20-minute mark when Matt Rush was played in on goal, but the forward fired his effort just wide of the far post. 

We almost took the lead right on half time when Mooney once again found himself in space on the right, this time clipping a cross towards the far post which evaded everyone and came back off the crossbar. 

SECOND HALF

After making nine changes at half-time, the home side had the momentum at the start of the second half. Just three minutes after the break, Abdul Abdulmalik hammered a powerful effort off the crossbar from 20 yards out. 

The Wood continued to dictate the early stages of the half, and had the best opportunity of the game just before the hour mark. Norris was played in on goal against substitute goalkeeper Porter, but the England under-19s international made a fantastic save to keep us level. 

We made ten changes of our own on the hour mark, introducing the ten outfield players who had started the evening on the bench. 

Nine minutes after these changes, the hosts took the lead, with Norris fending off the challenge of Patrick Stachow to find Marley Marshall-Miranda, whose effort took a deflection and found the bottom corner. 

But our young Gunners hit back in style, winning the ball from a high press. Frohock then cut it back for Phillips who fired into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.
