Jack Wilshere returned to the Club to take up the reins as head coach of our under-18s side, sharing his own experience of coming through the ranks with this generation's Hale End graduates.

Meanwhile, Mehmet Ali's under-21s went from strength to strength, finishing the calendar year top of the Premier League 2 table, yet to be beaten in 10 league games. Several of our Young Gunners also received call-ups to Mikel Arteta's side, with Ethan Nwaneri notably becoming the youngest Premier League debutant ever, aged 15 years and 181 days.
