In what was Boreham Wood's first season back in the National League, Luke Garrard's side almost made it back-to-back promotions last season, losing the play-off final on penalties to Rochdale at Wembley.
The Wood have made a strong start to pre-season, winning their opening two fixtures. After a 2-1 win over a Watford XI at Meadow Park, the non-league side thrashed Real Bedford 8-2 away from home.Â
